Spotlight: Service to Hawaii Catholic Schools
We are starting our newest photo and blog series that will highlight men and women who are celebrating notable work anniversaries with Hawaii Catholic Schools.
We’ll be sharing a “spotlight” every week. These people were recognized among their colleagues at the 2016 Annual Conference for Catholic School Educators on Feb. 5th, also the end of National Catholic Schools Week. Many of the kind words that will be shared about these amazing people are anecdotes from co-workers at their respective schools.
Our debut spotlight is an educator who’s been in the game for 20 years:
Nancy Jove-Laciste from St. John the Baptist Catholic School in Kalihi.
Nancy shines with her unwavering dedication to teaching. She’s very soft spoken, yet remarkable when asked of her opinion. She is an exceptional teacher that deserves to be honored for her unceasing support and commitment to Catholic education. She originally started teaching pre-k/kindergarten students at Holy Family Catholic Academy. She moved to St. John the Baptist in 2003.
Mahalo to the Hawaii Catholic Herald for taking this photo.
